Dragon Roams New Song Release with Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big)

Kim's new release Dragon Roams with thunderous Celtic tribal drums from Matt Starr (of Ace Frehley, Mr Big) and Peter Voronov haunting violins and viola.  Kim delves into her Celtic heritage with higher operatic harmonies with a rich alto lead vocal that moves through the scales.

She leads the charge with a heavy riff guitar and a melodic guitar solo line.  A fantasy-rich song delving into emotions with a chorus that reflects optimism for the future.

Shadows Fall Song - Celtic Rock

If you don't know me that well, I produce my own art and music. So the way things are at the moment I've been working from home, despite everything, and getting inspired to keep going. You have to enjoy what you're doing, which I do. The inspiration comes from the place where I live and that I used to sing Celtic songs when I was 9-13 years old in front of a few hundred adults, not for the faint-hearted. But I wanted to combine my love of rock with a Celtic twist.

In case you don't know, I hail from the Celtic Isle and record my own tracks in a progressive rock style. So it's a mixture of heavy riffs, guitar solos with Celtic harmonies as well.

So I've been playing electric guitar for 27 years but I held my first guitar when I was 9 years old when my dad brought it home for me. I got a few single notes out of it but you could have driven a bus under the action ( the space between the strings and the fretboard). Anyway it was short-lived the strings were rusted, I hadn't a clue what I was doing, and there were no instructions, so my dad took the guitar away.

But I held a passion for guitar since I was 9 years old. Achieving those few notes from those rusted strings inspired me. So much so that I am in the process of writing my own songs to bring to you.

Combining art with music was a flash of lightning. Celtic themes with rock took over my mind, so quietly in the background, I've been working away on producing art for music videos as well.

But I need your help, all you have to do is buy me a coffee from my ko-fi page, it's similar to Patreon and you will be part of bringing music into the world.

This will help me to get the tracks mastered and the added bonus of a studio-based drummer, musicians and violinist too.

This is the link here. I would be so grateful for your support as we would be reaching for the stars together.

International Collaboration with Myself & Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big, Burning Rain)

Matt Starr and myself were involved in an international music collaboration to record his drums to my track that I wrote: "Sands of Time" (Midnight Version).  I recorded and produced the rhythm and lead guitars with my vocals.  Matt recorded live in an American studio with his engineer Jon Mattox and I produced the final track.  The track was also uploaded to Soundcloud, Twitter, FB @KimAndrewsMusic page, Youtube and FB music community pages.

Kim - Video Projects

I have a love for photography and an interest in sunsets, so I am combining them both to bring to you a vivid scene to capture the imagination.  There is lovely scenery within the Celtic coastline that I would like to share and I am combining that with my music.  I am hoping to finish 3 videos to compliment the mood of my music.

My music is a combination of rock and blues using riffs, guitar solos with my vocals. Together with the Celtic landscape with its mystery and depth and my Celtic blues, I hope to bring you to a world where the giants live, where the mystical can be found and where you can come to love this part of the world.  You may see a dragon on the horizon, time will tell.

Anything But Bland - Ulster Hall Performance

I was privileged to be involved in Anything But Bland, an exciting collaboration between Dumbworld, the Northern Ireland Science festival, and the Ulster Orchestra. It is performed by the Ulster Orchestra and a specially created choral group make up of 150 female singers (aged 7-75+) from all over Northern Ireland. Conceived and created by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff.
